Torrino 2006 Olympic "Wind Machine" Turin, Italy

The Wind Machine featured in the closing ceremonies of the 2006 Torrino Winter Olympics is actually an open air Vertical Wind Tunnel! It was originally scheduled for opening ceremonies but was postponed until the end of the event.

Who flew the Wind Machine?????

Aerodium is a company located in Latvia/ North Eastern Europe.  It is owned by Ivars Beitans and this Vertical Wind Tunnel or Wind Machine as the announcer referred to it was created just for this event! Support Staff & Participating flyers names:
